Q: What is the difference between YODA and iRODS?
A: Yoda is a research data management application built on top of iRODS. It incorporates the Yoda web portal, Yoda vault submission/publication workflows and the Yoda network drive. It is still possible to use the iRODS clients to upload and download data to Yoda.
Q: How often I need to authenticate to iRODS or, in other words, when my authentication expires?
A: Typically every two weeks, but for more details please refer to the section How to set a temporary password.
