You can easily delete files and folders from your SURFdrive account. Go to the folder/file you want to delete and click on the three dots on the right side of the bar. You can find this right to the 'share' button and left to the size notation. Now the menu will pop-up and at the bottom you will find the delete option. When selected the data will be moved to the Trash Bin.

  • Restore your deleted data
If you have deleted a file, you can restore it in the SURFdrive web environment. Files and folders are kept for another 30 days. Go to https://surfdrive.surf.nl/files and log in. Then click on "Deleted Files" in the bottom left corner. Select the files or folders you want to recover and click 'Restore' at the top right.

  • Delete your data permanently
Any files and folders you delete are kept for 30 days so you can recover them. If you want to permanently delete a file, go to https://surfdrive.surf.nl/files and log in. Then go to "Deleted Files". Here you can select the files you want to delete permanently. Click "Delete" to permanently delete the files.

Back-up policy

Files that are deleted end up in the Trash Bin. After 30 days, these files are automatically removed from the trash and are no longer available. We can therefore no longer retrieve these files for you. For more information about our back-up policy, click here.
