Je hebt het volgende nodig:

  • Een smartphone is vereist (Apple iOS of Android)
  • Download de tiqr app
  • Je hebt toegang nodig tot je instellings e-mailaccount.

Jouw instelling bepaalt

  • welke tokens je kunt registreren
  • hoeveel tokens je kunt registreren
  • hoe je een token kunt activeren

Mogelijk kun je dus sommige tokens of activatiemethodes niet kiezen.


Basics

Ga zorgvuldig om met je telefoon en de tiqr app

  • Jouw telefoon en tiqr app zijn privé, deel deze niet met anderen.
  • Verlies je telefoon niet uit het oog; laat je smartphone niet onbeheerd bij je computer liggen.

Tiqr app installeren

Installeer de tiqr app voor iOS of Android met een van onderstaande links:

Je kunt ook in de app store zoeken naar de tiqr app. Zorg er dan wel voor dat je de door SURF gepubliceerde tiqr app installeert.

Registreren

  • Ga naar de Registratie Portal en start een nieuwe token registratie.
  • Kies tiqr en registreer een tiqr account in de tiqr app.
  • Als je telefoon dit ondersteunt kun je de vingerafdruk of face ID mogelijkheid van je telefoon gebruiken ipv de PIN-code.
  • Volg de instructies in de Registratie Portal.
  • Klaar met de registratie van je token? Dan moet je je token nog activeren. Afhankelijk van je situatie of de eisen van je instelling moet je een activatiemethode kiezen, of zie je meteen instructies voor de methode die voor jou geschikt is:
    • Zelf activeren; dit doe je door een herstelmethode (SMS of herstelcode) te kiezen
    • Activeren bij een servicedesk. Doe dit binnen 14 dagen, je activatiecode verloopt namelijk na 14 dagen
    • Activeren met een bestaand token.

Log in

Wanneer je een op SURFsecureID aangesloten dienst wil benaderen:

  • Ontvang je een push-notificatie op je smartphone; gebruik je vingerafdruk of face ID, of voer je tiqr PIN-code in om door te gaan.
  • Geen push-notificatie ontvangen? Scan in de plaats daarvan de QR code.
  • Mocht je smartphone geen internet verbinding hebben dan zal deze een code tonen die overgenomen moet worden op de login pagina.

Tiqr account geblokkeerd

Wanneer je geen gebruik maakt van je vingerafdruk of face ID maar van de PIN-code, en je 5x je tiqr PIN-code verkeerd invoert wordt je tiqr account geblokkeerd. Ga dan als volgt te werk:

  • Ga naar de Registratie Portal en verwijder je huidige tiqr registratie
  • Voer een nieuwe tiqr registratie uit

Vervangen en verwijderen

  • Ga naar de Registratie Portal en verwijder je token registratie. Zo kan niemand misbruik maken van jouw token.
  • Indien nodig kun je een nieuw token registreren.

Prerequisites:

  • You will need a smartphone (Apple iOS or Android)

  • You will need access to your institutional e-mail account.

Your institution determines

  • which tokens you can register
  • how many tokens you can register
  • how to activate a token

So you may not be able to choose some tokens or activation methods.

Handle your phone and tiqr app with care

  • Your phone and tiqr app are private, do not share it with others.
  • Never leave your phone unattended; keep your phone separated from your computer


Install the tiqr app

Install the tiqr app for iOS or Android with one of these links:

You can also search the app store for the tiqr app. Make sure you install the tiqr app published by SURF.

Register

  • Please visit the Registration Portal and start a new token registration.
  • Choose Tiqr and register a Tiqr account in the Tiqr app that you can use for future logins.
  • If your phone supports it, you can enable the fingerprint or face ID capability instead of the PIN-code.
  • Follow the instructions in the Registration Portal.
  • Done registering your token? Then you still have to activate your token. Depending on your situation or the requirements of your institution, you must choose an activation method, or you will immediately see instructions for the method that is right for you:
    • Activate yourself; you do this by choosing a recovery method (SMS or recovery code).
    • Activate at a service desk. Do this within 14 days, because your activation code expires after 14 days
    • Activate with an existing token.

Log in

When accessing a service that uses SURFsecureID,

  • You will receive a push-notification on your smartphone; if you've enabled fingerprint or face ID, use this or otherwise enter your TIqr PIN to proceed.
  • Did not receive a push-notification? Scan the QR code instead.

Tiqr account blocked

 If you did not enable the fingerprint or face ID, but instead use the PIN-code, then after 5 failed attempts to enter your tiqr PIN, your tiqr account will be blocked. Proceed as follows:

Replace and remove

  • Please visit the Registration Portal and remove your token registration. This way no one can take advantage of your token.
  • If necessary you can register a new token.
