More information

  • When awarding a requested edubadge, you will see an option to add a motivation and/or evidence. By clicking on this option, you can give the recipient a personal message and/or information about the evidence accompanying the award. The evidence is a URL that refers to a thesis, for example.

    • If you add proof (URL), make sure it is a persistent URL and the link is publicly accessible.

  • The motivation/evidence is included in the issued edubadge, but the recipient always has the choice to make this information visible or not when making the edubadge public and sharing it with others.

  • By default, these motivation/evidence fields are optional, but when creating a badge class, you can choose to make these fields mandatory under Additional options. You can make it mandatory for awarding (teacher) or for requesting (student).

  • If you want to award several requested edubadges at the same time, adding motivation/evidence is not possible. This is because it is personal information you want to add per edubadge. If you therefore select several requested edubadges at the same time, the option 'add motivation and/or evidence' will not appear.

You can do this in the badge class. This is only possible if there are no edubadges awarded yet.

Go to Manage and select the right Issuer.

Then click on Add new badge class or on the badge class you want to edit the class. If you want to change the option in an already existing badge class then click on Edit badge class.

Scroll down to Award settings. You can set the switch here.

Yes, But only if you have the correct role and rights for this (badge class admin or editor).

You can edit badge classes as long as NO badges have been issued. If they have, we recommend you create a new badge class within the issuer.

To everyone who has his/her eduID connected to an institution. Or has validated his/her name via IDIN or eiDAS. Read here more about it.

You probably zoomed in your browser slightly. Zoom out to see the buttons.

Go the Badge classes. Then go to the specific badge class. You will find the unclaimed badges if you click on the tab Open awards. It will show only the edubadges you can award depending on your permissions.

We do not offer the option to download a PDF because a PDF can be modified and therefore affects our reliability.

We recommend sharing the link and/or adding the badge to your LinkedIn profile. Don't forget to make your edubadge public first.

You could make a print screen of a badge and paste the link of the badge below.
