An edubadge can be issued in two ways:

  1. Through the application process

  2. Through Direct Award

This page explains all aspects of issuing the application process. Read more about this in the instructions below.

Instructions

To issue an edubadge via the application process, you invite learners to apply for the edubadge themselves. To do this, go to the badge class and click on Invite people to enroll.

Once you click on the link, the following pop-up will appear:

Click on Copy the link. Then paste the link into an email that you send to the learners.

After the learner has applied for the edubadge, the application is returned to the institution. In the system, the requests end up in the Open requests tab.

By clicking on an open request you can click on Award or Deny request.

Requests that are granted appear in the In backpack tab. Requests that are rejected appear in the Rejected tab.

To receive a signal that a learner has requested an edubadge, it is possible to set notifications.

Go to the right corner of your screen and click V and choose My notifications.

Select the badge classes for which badge classes you want to receive an email notification from the list.

By default, only students from their own institution can apply for edubadges. For extra-curricular edubadges it is possible to also open applications to students from other educational institutions.

Click on Manage at the top and then on Edit educational institution.

Then add the educational institutions at the bottom of the screen from which you want students to be able to request badges from your institution.

Then go to the badge class and add the educational institution(s) (at the bottom of the screen).
