Step 1: Create an eduID

  • To create your backpack, you need an eduID. You use your eduID to log in to your backpack. Your eduID is an identity that you can continue to use for the rest of your life.
  • Go to www.edubadges.nl and click on Open your backpack. Then follow the steps below.
  • Click on Create one and enter your personal email address and your first and last name.
  • You will then receive a confirmation email at the address you entered. Click on the link in that email, and your eduID account will be active immediately!

Instruction: Create an eduID

Go to https://edubadges.nl/ and click on Open your backpack.

The following page will open. To create an eduID click on Create directly!

Enter your details and agree to the terms of use.

Use your personal email! Please note that if you are no longer studying or working at that institution, you will no longer have access to that email address. 

We recommend that you use your personal email address for eduID.

You will now receive a confirmation code email box. This email may end up in your spam folder, so check your spam folder if the email does not appear in your inbox within a few minutes.

Click Verify this email adress in the email to definitively create your eduID account. Your eduID has been created and you will be redirected to myeduID or the service you were headed to.

Download the app. You can download the eduID app here:

 


Click on I don't have an eduID and then Create a new eduID.

Fill in your details. If you agree to the terms of use, check the box I agree.

Then click on Create a new eduID to continue the registration process.


You will receive a verification code in your email inbox. This may end up in your spam folder, so check it if it doesn't appear to arrive within a few minutes. 


Step 2: Create a backpack

  • Once you have an eduID, you are ready to create a backpack.
Instruction: Making a backpack
  1. You are now done with eduID. Now go to https://edubadges.nl/ and click on Open your backpack.



  2. You log into the backpack with the eduID you created with your personal e-mail address.



  3. You will then see a screen in which you give permission for your details to be passed on. 
    Click on proceed to Edubadges backpack.



  4. The first time you log in to your edubadges backpack you agree to our terms of use.



  5. Your backpack is shown.

     

  6. If you click on the V symbol in the top right corner and view your profile there....



  7. ... then you will see here that your name has been confirmed and provided by your institution.



  8. You are now ready to receive edubadges!
