There are various email notifications being sent via the system depending on the user's activity and role. For the SURF Research Drive community instance, these are:
- Mails and activity notifications in ownCloud (which depends on the user settings).
- Examples are "File/folder is being shared" or "File/folder shared from another server". See here for more info: https://doc.owncloud.com/webui/next/classic_ui/apps/activity.html
- Sharing mails
- Notification to users when data is being shared with them
- Notification to users when shares of a "removed user" are to be removed
- Dashboard activity emails
- User is invited to Research Drive via the dashboard
- User accepts the invite and makes active account
- User is assigned as project folder owner
- User is removed as project folder owner
- Contract expiration emails
- Notification email sent to contract owner when a contract is about to expire, see the contract removal period here.
- Notification to project folder owner under a contract that will expire.
