Ask all your technical questions to the
LUMI Support Team (LUST)

The LUMI User Support offers help with L1 and L2 support topics, including:

  1.  Simple support questions, such as:
    • Login issues, file permissions or other access issues

  2. Help with more advanced topics, such as:
    • Installing software, compilation or crashing jobs





LUMI Events and trainings
Find your event or training 

LUST organizes several LUMI events and trainings throughout the year, in cooperation with their partners.

Recurrent trainings, organized in the consortium counties, include:

  • A 1- or 2-day introductory LUMI training (aimed at regular users)
  • A 4-day advanced LUMI course (aimed at developers and advanced users)

  • An AI on LUMI course

The LUST team also organizes other support activities, such as user coffee breaks, and publishes training materials.

SURF Promising Applications Programme
Specialized support to improve the performance
of your application on LUMI 

The SURF Promising Applications Programme offers in-depth application support to optimize, profile or benchmark the code on LUMI. Users can request support for:

  • Benchmarking and profiling their code
  • Optimizing their code's performance
  • Building Pipelines and deploying applications
  • Porting their code to LUMI
  • Improving their code's scalability



How many hours of support can be requested ?
The amound of support hours that can be requested depends on the type of grant:

  • For LUMI pilots: up to 160 hours.
  • For LUMI regular projects: up to 520 hours.


How to request for support?
Support can be requested:

  • Together with the application for compute time from the Dutch LUMI share
  • As part of existing collaborations or projects

NOTE that when specialized support is requested as part of a LUMI pilot or LUMI regular project, approval of the requested compute resources does not guarantee that the support request can be fulfilled. Requests for specialized support will be evaluated separately and approved based on the availability of resources and expertise.
