When an application is connected to SURF Research Access Management, the requester of this connection will be invited to the role of application admin. Application admins can view and edit several properties and connections of the application.

Organisations and collaborations

Application admins can view and, in the future, change to which organisations the application is available, which collaborations have connected to the application and, in the future, revoke permission from a collaboration in case permission is needed.

Manage application admins

Application admins can list a application's application admins and invite and remove them.

Connection requests

If it is not allowed for collaborations to automatically connect to this application, connection will need approval. Application admins can grant or deny connection requests.

Settings

Application admins can view a application's properties and settings and change most of them, for example the name, short name, description and the application URL. Other notable settings are:

  • Available for all organisations? Is this application available to connect, or request a connection, for collaborations of all organisations?

  • Acceptable use policy (AUP), that all users (members of collaborations that provide access to the application) must accept.
  • Resetting acceptance AUP, in case the AUP is changed.
