Is SURFconext safe?

If your institution isn't in the list this could have multiple reasons:

• Your institution isn't connected to SURFconext. See the full list of conncted institutions.
• Your institution isn't connected to this specific service. Check the website of the service if there are any alternative ways of logging in.

I don't have access to the service

It's possible your institution is connected to SURFconext but that it doesn't have any agreement abut the usage of that specific service. If you contact us, we'll contact the relevant person within your institution and they might decide to add this to their portfoli of offered services.

Why am I redirected to SURFconext every time I want to read an article

If you are redirected to SURFconext everytime you want to look up (scientific) publications, likely you havre installed a browser extension that does this for you, like Lean Library. This will be visible in the toolbar of your browser and - if you no longer desire this behaviour - you can remove it usually by right-clicking it and selecting "remove" from the  menu.
