An institution can take advantage of SRAM in three ways:

Connect your IdP

Why

Your users can login with their institutional account onto services that use SRAM, to do collaborative research and join collaborations. Without connecting an IdP to SRAM, researchers can still use SRAM with a guest IdP, for example with eduID.nl.

How

For SURF member institutions, the SURFconext contact person just needs to allow SRAM as a service in the SURFconext IdP dashboard. Optionally SURFconext can restrict who within the institution can use their institutional account to access SRAM and its connect services.

Other, international institutions can connect using eduGAIN. Organisations not able to use SURFconext or eduGAIN, please contact us at sram-support@surf.nl.
