European programs

Several European programs offer access to Snellius:

• Compbiomed offers access to participating supercomputers, including Snellius, for computational biomedical research. See https://www.compbiomed.eu/high-performance-computer-allocations/ for details.

• HPC-Europa3 offers scholarships for visits for scientific collaboration, and includes access to participating supercomputers, including Snellius.
  
  

• PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing Europe) is a collaboration between several European HPC Centers, to create a truly European HPC infrastructure. It offers several access programs to European Tier-0 and Tier-1 systems.
  Check the following programmes for accessing Snellius through PRACE:

  • DECI (Distributed European Computing Initiative) for transnational access to Tier-1 systems.
  • SHAPE (SME HPC Adoption Programme in Europe) for European businesses to adopt high-performance computing.
  • Preparatory Access (Type-D): prepare projects to make the transition from Tier-1 to Tier-0 systems.
