To make sure your files are always backed-up you can synchronize your data on your local computer to the cloud.
Synchronize your files with a folder on your hard drive using the desktop client for Windows, Mac OS X or Linux.
Always install the most recent version to get the most out of SURFdrive. Older versions may not work, or may not work properly.
For Windows, the 64 bit version is the most common.

For Linux, SURFdrive does not offer its own software:
- Use the desktop software of ownCloud
- After installation, enter as server address: https://surfdrive.surf.nl/files

MacOSX
Do you use Mac OS X? You may have to explicitly give access to the downloaded program.
Go to System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then General. Click on the lock and enter your password to make changes.
Select App Store and developers whose identities are unknown under the heading Allow programs downloaded from.
